At Women in Scottish Aquaculture, we’re delighted to be celebrating International Women’s Day 2026 by bringing women together from across aquaculture for a shared online event focused on connection, careers and community.

On Thursday 5 March 2026, from 1.00–1.45pm GMT (2.00–2.45pm CET), we invite women working across aquaculture to join us online — either individually or by gathering with colleagues in their own workplaces to watch together. We’re encouraging teams to come together over lunch ahead of the talks, creating local moments of connection while joining a wider, international audience online.

This year’s event is being organised in collaboration with the Network of Women in Aquaculture (NOWA) and will feature short, motivating talks from women working in a range of roles across Scottish and European aquaculture. Our speakers will share insights from their own career journeys, offering encouragement and inspiration for anyone considering their next steps in the sector. Speaker announcements will be confirmed shortly.

We’d also love you to think beyond your own organisation. Please feel free to invite suppliers, partner companies, international colleagues or industry networks to join in. Therefore, if you’re joining from a hatchery, farm, office or home, we’d love to see workplaces across the sector tuning in together and waving hello at the start of the session.
