How to support WiSA
How WiSA is run
The WiSA initiative is hosted by Lantra and is guided by an advisory group of professionals from across the sector and academia. These voluntary positions ensure that WiSA is unbiased, has a fair cross-section of the sector represented and that the needs of the women in the industry are at the forefront of all WiSA activities.
WiSA is a funded initiative and has made exceptional use of the funding raised at its inception in 2019. To run effectively and create sufficient opportunities for women in Scottish aquaculture, more funding is required.
We want to partner with businesses and organisations of all types in the aquaculture sector and offer a range of sponsorship opportunities so that companies of all sizes and structures can contribute to supporting WiSA.
WiSA’s previous sponsors include: The Scottish Government, Mowi, Scottish Sea Farms, Cooke Aquaculture, Bakkafrost, Grieg Seafood and Loch Duart.
Crown Estate Scotland is 2025's mentoring programme sponsor.

Partner with WiSA
Women in Scottish Aquaculture (WiSA) exists to introduce more women into aquaculture, and support those already working in the sector.
The initiative has huge potential, however, we rely on sponsorship to make activities happen. Could your organisation be a WiSA sponsor?
