The WiSA advisory group in looking for new members
Women in Scottish Aquaculture (WiSA) is looking to welcome new members to our advisory group, and we’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in being more involved in supporting women across the sector.
You don’t need to have held a formal committee role before — we are keen to hear from people with a range of skills, experiences and interests, as well as those who simply want to play a bigger part in championing women’s contribution to Scottish aquaculture.
We’re particularly interested in hearing from anyone who:
Enjoys supporting and empowering women in their workplace or wider life
Has experience applying for funding, or an interest in helping manage finances for a voluntary group
Is confident creating engaging social media or communications content
Or simply wants to be more involved in shaping WiSA’s work and direction
As well as recruiting general advisory group members, we are also looking to fill the following voluntary roles:
Secretary
Treasurer
Communications Officer
These roles are a great opportunity to build experience, contribute to a supportive network, and help strengthen WiSA’s impact across the sector. So, if you’ve ever thought about getting more involved — now’s the time. We value enthusiasm, reliability and a willingness to contribute just as much as specific technical skills.
Apply via the link in the QR code. The deadline for applications is Sunday 8 March 2026.
If you’re unsure whether a role is right for you, we encourage you to reach out — we’re always happy to have an informal conversation. We look forward to welcoming new voices and perspectives to the WiSA advisory group.
